Commercial mortgage is a type of mortgage loan. Although basically it does not differ with Mortgage loan, there is one vital difference. To secure a mortgage loan, residential property is offered as a security - but, to secure a commercial mortgage, the securities offered is a commercial building or plot or any other piece of real estate except a residential property. Moreover, typically a commercial mortgage is taken by business firms whereas mortgage loans are taken by individuals or families.
