Value Approach of Investing is also known as Graham & Dodd Value Approach. Sometimes, it is simply called Value Investing. This strategy of investing was developed by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd who first propounded the strategy in their book named Security Analysis, first published in 1934. By 1949, Graham had further refined this strategy which he presented in his book named The Intelligent Investor. The Value Investing strategy continued to be refined and fine tuned by a number of investors in equity stocks, as also stock traders. The Value Investing is practiced with a view of earning above-average returns - though this is applicable to all other strategies of investing too: all investment strategies try to present and practice a way to secure above-average returns.
